Our Camp
Cabins
Silver Lake Camp offers fifty rustic, all-wood cabins with electric lights and outlets powered by a generator. Each cabin is furnished with a double bed and two sets of bunk beds and a dresser. The beds have mattresses, but you will need to bring your own bedding or sleeping bags. Please be sure to bring flashlights and plenty of batteries. If you use a sleep apnea machine or any other electrical device, you will need to bring a battery pack for it as the generator is shut off at night.
We recommend that you bring warm bedding or sleeping bags, as the nights can be quite cool. You will also need pillows, bed linen, towels and toiletries. Cribs are not available, but you are welcome to bring your own for small children. Bed rails for bunk beds are available from the Camp Office. A modern, centrally located bathhouse provides hot showers and laundry facilities. The camp receives its water from a spring, so water conservation is encouraged. A pay phone for campers’ use is conveniently located outside the Camp Office.
Conveniences
Silver Lake Camp has a small store in the Lodge with soft drinks, ice, postcards, stamps, toiletries, snacks, shirts, and other supplies. Hours of operation are posted.
A Camp Nurse is available to take care of bumps, bruises, and scrapes. The medic is prepared to handle most emergency situations.
Meals
Your stay at Silver Lake Camp includes three meals prepared each day by our kitchen staff. Breakfast will be Continental on some days. Lunch and dinner always include a salad bar. Those campers planning to be gone from camp during the day may request a sack lunch which will be available at breakfast. Sack lunch requests must be made during dinner the night before.
Enjoy your meals in our rustic lodge or dine outside on one of the two patios. There are a limited number of high chairs and booster seats available for small children.

For those wishing a more strenuous hike and an all day adventure, try the longer (8+miles) hikes to either Thunder Mountain or Needle’s Eye. Please remember not to pick any flora or fauna. Your camera will be your ticket to identifyling the abundant growth of wildflowers, or preserving the beautiful Silver Lake sunrises and sunsets.
Silver Lake Chapel
Those who wish to attend Sunday services at Silver Lake Chapel will be overwhelmed by the vista of Thunder Mountain and Silver Lake. A short walk from camp, the Chapel is located located between Plasse’s meadow and the lake. Protestant services are held at 10:00AM, Catholic Mass at noon.
